FANS TO RALLY AT STATE CAPITOL TO SAVE THE VIKINGS
Minneapolis, MN Dec. 1 /V-Newswire/ – On December 3rd, 2009 SavetheVikes.org will hold their second annual Fan Rally to urge legislators to take action on a stadium solution that will keep the Vikings in Minnesota while creating thousands of jobs.
Consisting of a large, lively collection of fans and voters, Color Guard (National Anthem), Vikings’ Alumni including Bob Lurtsema, Vikings’ Cheerleaders, and SavetheVikes.org Founder Cory Merrifield, SavetheVikes.org members and other notable special guests.
“While these are challenging economic times, a new stadium is an investment that will generate thousands of jobs and additional tax revenue,” explains Marrifield.
The group hopes to spread the word because they believe the Vikings are an important cultural and economic resource that brings entertainment, revenue and pride to the state. A new stadium will keep the team in Minnesota while attracting other high profile events.
The rally will take place on the State Capitol Front Steps, St. Paul, Minnesota on Thursday, December 3, 3-6pm
